Orchestration - Outputs and Assertions: Success Messages not working

JDE Enterprise 1 - Tools 9.2.8.1

I created an Orchestration and associated it with a button on an application. In the Orchestration I activated the Success Message with variables under Messages in Outputs and Assertions but no message pops up when I run the Orchestration (the Orchestration works as expected minus the Success message). Is there something that needs to be activated somewhere else first?

Has anyone successfully used this feature in an Orchestration?
