Siebel REST upsert operation

Siebel REST upsert operation output response gives "Id" field even though this field is inactive in ICF, which result in an error at the other system. The same IO with wsdl and SOAP UI doesn't give Id field in the response. Can you pls help why the Id field is present as REST output response even though this is inactive ICF.
