Why can't we use same dimension values for Dimensions in Different Cubes

We understand Oracle has given naming restrictions for dimensions and values and have mentioned that same name cannot be used for dimensions values across the application.

We could not find any document from Oracle explaining why. Could someone please provide URL to any document form Oracle or explain why we cannot use same dimension values across different cubes in EPM
