Oracle Sub-Inventory Management and Oracle Quality

I am in an organsiation that uses Oracle Inventory and we have sub-inventory managment implemented though some customisations. Is there a way to do sub-inventory managment uisng Oracle Quality Management in R12.2.10. The question is quite vague but I never heard of Oracle Quality in conjunction with Inventory Management. Any help would be appreciated.
