HCM Component Lockdown framework

We are in Peopletools 8.60, Image 44 and working on upgrading to PUM image 46. We would like to enable the HCM Component Lockdown framework for locking down only the prior period Absence management pages for payroll and allow users to submit absence request for current Pay period. Can you please confirm if the component lockdown can be controlled for Absence based on Payroll calendar or does it lock Absence management components for all pay periods if we enable it.
