Query/tool to check when Database is busy /have high load on any given day ?

Want to check the database activity during entire day or 12 hours period whether it can be peak / off peak hours. The purpose is to capture the load during the entire day to identify the hot spot, which activity has caused and reasons for high load. So let me know if you have any queries or tool(s) to get this information.
