Why we cannot anymore use options merge=yes and mtrestart=no in adop ?

Hi,

Currently applying the last EBS CPU April 2024, we have an issue when we are running the cutover phase.

We have opened an SR to the support but the solution the analyst proposed is just to abort the cycle because he told us we used merge=yes option in the apply phase and mtrestart=no in the cutover phase.

So my question is:

Why we cannot anymore merge patches during the application and/or avois service restart at the cutover ??
