Question on deletion of inactive patches in Oracle

Hello

Our account is currently running HP/UX Itanium Oracle Database Enterprise addition 19c / 19.22.0.0.0. I have a question concerning the "New Feature to Delete Inactive Patches in the ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage Directory (Doc ID 2942102.1)".

Can the deletion of inactive patches be executed when the database instances are active?
