Sell By Date Calculation Issue

We recently moved to using Sell By Dates for MRP. However, I'm uncovering issues with how Sell By is being calculated on some of our items. As an example, I have an SKU with a Shelf Life Day setup of 18250 and a Sell By days of 0. When I do an IA adjustment, the sell by defaults to today's date, making the inventory unusable in MRP. I have dozens of different items where the sell by date looks to be defaulting to the lot creation date.

I am seeing the same problem on PO receipts where the sell by date is defaulting to the on hand/lot creation date on some of our items.
