Strange External Table Issue on ODA When Using NFS

We've been using CIFS shares extensively on the ODAs for a long time and they have worked very well.

We are now upgrading the estate to 19.22 and hitting the CIFS FIPS limitation so trying to switch to NFS.

We have the NFS server working on our Windows environment and I can mount the share on the appliance OK and access files using the oracle user.

The strange issue we have is that accessing external tables works when using a "local" database connection but fails when using a "network" database connection. This is the case even when the "network" session is launched from the db server using using a TNS connection.
