AP ECC Supplier Balance dashboard search capabilities

Can we add search capabilities to refine AP dashboard results by range of Supplier names with the capability to search using wildcard (* or %) using beginning character. For example, suppliers beginning with character A% till suppliers beginning with character C% to view open invoices for all suppliers with names beginning with alphabet.

It seems that if the user puts Ab% it will bring whatever supplier has the characters "Ab" in it, not necessarily the ones which only start with Ab

et A and C.
