How can document type PI be negative?

9.2.7.2 I am trying to figure out how doc type can show as a negative number and there is no SO line shown. Is it because our employees took it off the shelf to use themselves maybe? Is there a document that shows all of the Doc Types and what exactly they are used for in detail for the Cardex F4111?
