Multiple Credit Card refunds against a receipt errors with 2 PMT-RETURN ERR

I want to do multiple credit card refunds against a single receipt because of a business requirement. I was able to do the first refund successfully and it had the remitted status.

When i did the second refund against the same receipt, the refund miscellaneous receipt stayed in the 'confirmed' status. The remittance program report shows error - '2 PMT-RETURN ERR Exception in Credit api: Error in Return api' .

One thing I noticed is that the second refund showed the maturity date as '01-Jan-52'

Appreciate any help in fixing this issue.
