Does Oracle recommend against installing Dynatrace One Agent on Exadata Servers?
We recently installed Dynatrace One Agent on IBM AIX servers hosting On-prem Oracle 19c databases and enabled Oracle DB Extensions in the One Agent with negligible CPU / IO usage. The Dynatrace Dashboards and alerts are still functioning without issues for the past 1 year.
When we suggested similar approach for Exadata servers, DB admins object saying that Dynatrace Agent cannot be installed on Exadata servers and that Oracle does not recommend it.
When we googled about this. we found the below link where Dynatrace claims otherwise with examples.
To understand and decide better, can we know why Oracle does not recommend installing Dynatrace One Agent on Exadata Servers? Is it still a problem or has this been resolved? Is it counter productive to use Dynatrace alongside OEM or can they complement each other? Does OEM support historical metrics as long as Dynatrace? Does OEM monitor the host and the DB like Dynatrace?
