OL9 (ARM) in UTM on Apple Silicon won't boot after "dnf update".

I had a functioning OL9 instance running in UTM on my Mac M1 for many months. In the past few weeks, a DNF UPDATE rendered it unbootable. The "start boot option" screen ends with "Synchronous Exception"

So I grabbed the latest ISO and went to recreate the issue:

I built a fresh instance in UTM using OracleLinux-R9-U4-aarch64-dvd.iso and after booting it, immediately logged in and ran:

[me@ol9-arm ~]$ sudo dnf update -y

{output attached}

[me@ol9-arm ~]$ reboot

The resulting "start boot option" screen ends with "Synchronous Exception at 0x000000013BAD39EC"

Howdy, Stranger!
