CFR11 auditable column

We would like to select specific columns in a table to be audited in 9.2. An example would be the payments that are voided in AP in F0411. The value changes in F0411.RPVOD upon voiding an invoice and we would like to track those changes hypothetically. If we select RPVOD as the auditable column, will the system trigger an audit and create audit records only on those records where a change is made to the auditable column RPVOD, or will the system generate audit on every record that is changed in the table F0411, regardless of whether the change is
