Making inventory in a specific locator non-reservable

OPM 12.2

We have a requirement where inventory in a specific location non-reservable, though the corresponding lot is reservable.

I created a new material status with all transactions allowed and Allow reservations unchecked. I flagged the status as enabled for Locators, and assigned my target location to the new material status.

However, when I move inventory into that location, it is still available for reservations, and when I pick release sales orders, the process is finding and reserving inventory from the locator.

When I try the same thing at subinventory level, it works perfectly (i.e. As soon as I move inventory into a subinventory with a status that disallows reservations, the inventory is not shown as available to reserve, and pick release does not reserve that inventory)
