Mid pay period position changes.
Hi,
I have two employees, A and B, both with the same compensation amount and both salaried employees.
If Employee B changes positions in Mid pay period, even without a salary increase or holiday schedule change, the PeopleSoft calculation differs slightly.
For Employee A, the calculation is annual salary / 24.
For Employee B, the calculation is annual salary / 260, and the amount is prorated based on the number of days in the previous position and the number of days in the new position. This results in different pay for Employees A and B, despite having the same annual salary.
Has anyone experienced this issue, and how did you solve it? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
