Applying patching to a cold standby system

Hello, I recently inherited the support of a customers database, it’s a “Oracle Database 19c Standard Edition 2 Release 19.0.0.0.0 – Production - Version 19.3.0.0.0”

The ‘strange’ thing about this setup is that a kind of cold standby is being maintained using a frequently coping mechanism of archive files to a DRP server and then applying them to the DRP database.

Now I’ve been asked to install the latest security patches to the system, so I want to install “WINDOWS DATABASE BUNDLE PATCH 19.24.0.0.240716 (Patch)” to both sides.

My question is, will this mechanism of log shipping keep on working if I update the DRP site first?
