How to mitigate slow performance validating account chartfield values

We've got frustrated users taking too much time entering account chartfields values in Fluid Requisition page (PV_SCH_DIST_SCF) since Deferred Processing option is set to "not allowed" for the page. So, each field the user enter and as soon as tabbed out to next field, it span a wheel for several seconds and the user cannot enter next field until the validation is over.

We do not want to turn off the deferred processing setting for the entire page, but still looking for a way of speedy entering account chartfields values if possible.

If any of you have creative ideas and examples to mitigate slow performance regarding entering account chartfields values, please let me know.
