OLVM hosted engine install fails with "Failed to download metadata for repo 'ol8_baseos_latest'"

Hello all,

I've new to OLVM so please forgive me if this has been raised before or is a known issue. I have found similar issues but nothing that quite matches what I'm seeing here.

I have a fresh install of Oracle Linux 8.10, registered with ULN and running the UEK. I'm following the instructions at to install the self-hosted engine of OLVM 4.5, and although I've overcome a few problems (network bond naming, proxy issues) I'm stuck on this one. The following error message is generated from the task [ovirt.ovirt.hosted_engine_setup : install kernel-uek-modules-extra]

"Failed to download metadata for repo 'ol8_baseos_latest': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried"
