Are we able to hide which columns appear on the Applicant Grid on Manage Job Opening page?

We would like to always hide the Veteran and Military Status columns on the applicant grid on the Manage Job Opening page or have the ability hide these 2 columns based on a security role/permission list. Is this possible to do thru configuration or will this have to be a customization?
