How to confirm if redo log Thread# 1 belongs to RAC Instance number 1?

Is there a query to confirm this?

I read 'somewhere' that sometimes redo log thread 1 in a RAC database might belong to instance 2, and redo log thread 2 might below to instance 1

I hope this makes sense
