What should ESU JN20805 actually do?

According to this document 3007524.1

Bug 36345749 is available for download. 

Before the fix, a location/lot record added on the fly, needed to be manually added to the P4100 - Work With Location Master in order to display quantities when Location Control (LCTL) was deactivated.

After the fix, all quantities now display when a new location is added on the fly and Location Control is deactivated in the following screens:

P41202 - Work With Item Availability Summary and Detail

P41200 - Work With Item Search

P41280 - Work With Lot Availability

My question is what exactly am I looking for to confirm that the ESU was applied correctly? Is there a change to the processing options on these applications? Is there a new checkbox on the form? We just took UN8 for 9.2.
