P4617 over picking

We are using JDE 9.2.7.2

Is it possible to over pick a quantity for one line of a task and then cancel the other line in P4617 if you have two lines for a single task number?

ex: our standard box weight is 1800#. During manufacturing they filled the box to 1860#. The SO is for 1860#. When we create the pick confirmations in P4617 via the R46171 subsystem, it creates 2 picks for us. One for 1800# and one for 60#. So, we have the same task with 2 picks but in reality, I have one box in inventory with 1860#. I would like to over pick the 1800# line to 1860# and then cancel the 60# pick because in reality that does not exist.
