set cluster_database=false during RAC database move to new ASM disk group

Hi,

While moving 2 node RAC database(11.2.0.4 version) to new ASM disk group at what stage we set cluster_database=false and again when we set back cluster_database=true.

I would like to clearly understand when and at what step we set cluster_database=false and set back to true again so that they won't be any issues moving database to new ASM.
