Restrict Journal Reporting Currency Ledger to convert amounts of specific balancing Segments

How to restrict "Journal" or "Subledger" Reporting Currency Ledger to convert/ translate amounts/ balances of specific balancing segments.

We have a Primary Ledger in INR. Want to create a "Journal" or "Subledger" Reporting Currency Ledger (in USD) to convert/ translate amounts/ balances of specific balancing segments. How can we do that. As per my understanding, it is only possible in case of Balance Type Reporting Currency Ledger (when we translate, we have option to select balancing segment), but in case of other two types all balancing segments data gets translated.

Source is also not acceptable an option for us.

Please suggest.
