Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Upgrading Oracle Linux running EBS12.2 from OL7 to OL8

Dear All,

We are using Oracle EBS 12.2, DB: 19c RU:24. OS: Oracle Linux 7.

We can configure clone from Production (adpreclone) to test Oracle Linux 7 instance (adcfgclone).

We are planning to upgrade to Oracle Linux 8.

On our Ol7 Production environment, we prepared clone using adpreclone for both appsTier and dbTier.

On Test instance,

for dbTier, OL7, we configured clone (adcfgclone) first, then we upgraded Oracle Linux from 7 to 8 using leapp. Database is up and running, we can connect to the database.

2. For appsTier, we upgraded to Ol8 first, then start configuring clone (running adcfgclone), we faced issues.

If anyone can share his/her experience upgrading Oracle Linux 7 that have EBS 12.2 to Ol8.
