Why doesn't data transer to HR allow salary / pay components to flow through to manage hires

On the 'Manage Hire Setup' there is no option to select job offer components, specifically salary/payrate, to be sent to Manage Hires when hiring an employee. This seems like something that logically makes sense (to me), so I'm curious why this hasn't be implemented.

Has anyone customized Prepare for hire/manage hires to send and accept pay component when processing the hire?
