64 bit upgrade: Updating Release master to 64bit and Purging the 32 bit artifacts

Hi Everyone,

Current TR: 9.2.8.1

We have done 64 bit upgrade when we were on 9.2.5.5. Now we are on 9.2.8.1 But we have not done the last step(post upgrade step) i.e updating the Release master and purging the 32 bit objects. Now we are planning to do this final step. All our pathcodes are already converted to 64 bit quite a while back. EMENVFU2 Flag in F00942T is already 1. On this regards i have followign questions

  1. Do we have to take any precautionary measures before doing these steps?
  2. Does anyone had any implications post performing these steps?
  3. As per the oracle, this is irreversible. But still our business is keen to know if there is any such fall back option by taking any back up and restoring them again?
