Is it possible to set an item/location status to trigger the creation of the MRT/RTV process?

The client informed us that in their custom module, an item-location is added to the MRT or RTV process only when the item's status meets a specific condition. Is there a way to manage this in MFCS as well?

I have already tried changing the item-location statuses from 'active' to 'inactive', then 'delete', and finally 'discontinued,' but it seems that MRT/RTV processes can still be allowed.
