Unit Cost for actual count amount for cycle count batch for weighted average cost items

We have a requirement from business that after cycle count batch creation, and input of actual count quantity and variance report is printed, it will takes up to 10 days to obtain management approval for the variance.

During the period, operation will need to resume with receiving and shipping. Weight average cost will change as purchase price may be different. By the time management approval is obtained, the weight average cost may be different from the unit cost stored at cycle count batch during actual count quantity input.

How can the unit cost and actual count amount being update based on the last weight average cost before perform cycle count approval and cycle count update? The requirement also need the quantity on hand and amount on hand on cycle count batch to be kept unchanged, so that the quantity variance is batch on different of count quantity and quantity on hand at time of variance report generated.
