Inactivating Variable Rate

in Compensation and Benefits - EBS (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Using OAB EBS 12.2.12.

We have a unit currently tied to "Variable Rate Profile A". Effective 1/1/25 we need to include them with "Standard Rate Profile B" which already exists. We planned to make this switch during Open Enrollment processing for the 1/1 effective date.

If we inactivate "Variable Rate Profile A" on the last eligibility date in 2024 (21-DEC), what are the possible impacts of it being inactive? Would it impact W2 or 1095 data?

Can a variable rate profile exist without a group assigned? If so, maybe that is the better option - just leave it unassigned but active until W2/1095 done, then inactivate?
