Updating Profile ID of an asset

Hi,

We've a requirement where business wants to update only profile ID of an asset.

The previous profile ID had 10 years of life to it. New Profile ID created has 20 years.

But when the asset is updated(from Mass Transactions page using Asset Update transaction type) with new Profile ID that has life of 20 years. It still shows remaining life as 10 years(from previous Profile ID) on the book table for that asset.

Please guide if there is any process other than Interface Loader Edit program(

AMIFEDIT

) needs to be executed for the asset.
