Duplicate Items created under Master Org. and Primary Org.

If we create duplicate Items under the Master Org. and the Primary Org. with Item status: Design. Will it cause any data corruption?

We already have that Item being present in Master Org. and Primary Org. and with Item Status: Active. Somehow while creating the Item, user forget to select the designated 'Item Catalog Category' and created duplicate items but after realizing the mistake added those Items back to the Item Catalog Category but right now those Items are in 'Design' Status.

1. Will these presence of duplicate Item records cause any data corruption Issue?

2. Is there a possible way to clear these duplicate records?
