Agile Variant Management ScriptPX Event Issues

We are in the process of evaluating Agile's Variant Management tool to handle our product configurations.

Most all our products are structured where one Model will be configured and used within a parent Model. With this being the case, we need a way to define different lower-level Model Instance AutoNumbers, which requires a process extension. It's not known yet if we'll be using a ScriptPX or JavaPX, but for initial testing, the thought was to start with a Groovy ScriptPX using Agile's Event Management utility.

The problem we are running into is that the Variant Management events don't seem to be triggering/firing. The following is the current setup.
