QREV in QM Module

Dears,

The QREV field exists in all 3 tables F3701, F3702, and F40318. Is there any logic to have them link together? Or they are totally separated and have no relationship at all?

Can I add the QREV on F3701 when creating the Test-ID at the very first step? And if the answer is yes, then later when creating the Spec-ID (F3702) or Item Profile (F40318) the F3701.QREV will be brought over to F3702 or F40318?

Not many documents discussed how QREV can be used in QM module, and like if someone can share the light. Thanks!
