Can we delete a Tax Reporting Type so that we can re-enter correctly?

We had a screen hiccup in the middle of entering tax reporting types (defaults and controls → tax reporting types) and it saved the record without the "Define List of Reporting Codes" selected and with the current date as the effective-from date.

Those fields are not changeable when I query the tax reporting type and select 'Update' so I would like to simply delete the record and then re-enter it correctly. How can I do this? Or, how can I get those two fields changed?
