Hi Folks,

We have Oracle database with two standby databases hosted in AWS ec2 with same disk IO characteristics. Recently due to the end of life for OEL7 OL7,

we have planned to swap the AMIs from OEL7 OL7 to OEL OL 8.10 where we are just unattaching the data/log volumes from existing 7.9 and attaching it to the new machine 8.10

We have gone through the exercise of swapping one DR and started to observe wierd behavior of 4X the amount of IO on reads with the new kernel.

However the Primary and DR-1 which is on OEL7.9 OL7.9 with RHCK are performing well.
