P0013 - Change Display Decimals

We set up a Currency with 0 decimals, booked one entry and posted to the F0902. I know the documentation says to NOT change the currency decimal display once transactions have been posted but how have others dealt with this? Are there update programs to run? Can you void the entry, change the display decimals and reenter?
