How to get application and server logs available to Essbase sysadmin appdeveloper?

Hi,

Where I'm at, the upgrade planning to Essbase21 is just getting started. are there any hacks from previous versions to get application and server logs available to the Essbase sysadmin appdeveloper? preference would be to utilize maxl.
