Question on action reason DEA (DEATH)
Good Day,
We have encountered a situation regarding the "Termination with Death" action reason. The system does not permit a future-dated effective date when using this specific action reason.
In cases where we need to pay the employee fully before terminating, our usual practice is to use the "Termination" and Termination with Pay action reason then termination and reason for termination. Once the payment is processed, we update the record to reflect "Termination with Death."
We would like to know if there is a more efficient or standardized way to handle such scenarios. How do other organizations manage this process?
