DBCA - Create database - step5

edited Nov 25, 2024 7:40PM in Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

When create db19c database instance using dbca - step5 → Use following for database storage attributes→ Database Files Location → /r01/oradata

As a result dbca created in /r01/oradata directories in Capital like 'DBNAME1' , 'DBNAME2' in fact the SID(s) are in lowcase: 'dbname1', 'dbname2'. Would it be a problem in future (patching, upgrades etc.) or it does not matter?

In the past when I created instances it did create database directories in oradata in lowcase (as SIDs are really are)…

Howdy, Stranger!
