WMS Wave Planning and Cartonization

We have specific order type to pick release sales orders from a EA subinventory. During pick release, the sales orders are allocated an LPN (Cartonized LPN) based on simple cartonization rule in the WMS workbench (based on pick slip grouping rule).

When attempting to use WMS Wave Planning for the same order type, the sales orders are not allocated an LPN (so no cartonized LPN allocated).

Is there any additional setup required to support the allocation of a cartonized LPN with Wave Planning?
