Substitution of component to fulfill partial demand in ASCP
Hi,
I have the following BOM setup:
FG-1
- RM-A -->RM-A1
- RM-B
FG is the finished goods and RM-A and RM-B are the components and RM-A1 is the substitute of the RM-A.
When I ran the ASCP, I checked the “use substitute components”. And I also set the max order quantity to zero for RM-A1 based on the suggestion from note 1446564.1.
FG-1 has no onhand
RM-A has no onhand
RM-A1 has onhand 50 Pcs
I have a MDS with FG-1:
Week 1: 200 Pcs
Week 2: 100 Pcs
After running the plan, the system suggest:
Week 1: RM-A1 150 Pcs
Week 2: RM-A 100 Pcs
I checked the pegging information and found that it seems all demand for week 1 is using RM-A1 if the substitute component is used. I want the system to use 50Pcs onhand on substitute RM-A1 but generate 150 Pcs planned order for primary component RM-A. Is it possible?
