E1 Date Formats

Random question but does anyone remember how the date formats are handled in E1? 

Ran into an issue in JDE World recently where a customer label was generated with the date being in DMY format instead of MDY format.  It was determined that this date format was coming through due to the user being set up for Spanish and had the date format set that way in user preferences.  I wouldn’t have expected anything from a user preference to be passed down to the customer facing document, just expected their screens to display it in the preferred format.   We have a system default set to MDY format but surprised we don’t have a default
