Forward Applicant feature question

When you use the "Forward Applicant" feature are there any notifications/emails sent to the applicant when their information is forwarded?

I have searched and have not found anything indicating that an email is sent to the applicant if the "Forward Applicant" feature is used but I wanted to double check that I was not missing something before we use this functionality.
