Configured Grand child Items with Spl Chars in UDC value Errors Out

Hi All,

We are on 9.2 TR 9.2.5.4.

We have a Parent item which in turn has Child and Grand Child.
We have a common segment for all the 3 Item levels.
Through AIR, using EXTVAR we are retrieving seg value for the Child Item and using Segment referral retrieving the seg value for the Grand child.
Our Parent Item and Grand Child has UDC values attached to it, which contains special characters like " and ' (for inches and feet).
The issue is the Grand Child is not recognizing the spl chars from UDC values and gives "Invalid Value" error on hitting Validate Configuration from P3210 screen.
