PeopleSoft 9.2 Recruit Implementation

Can anyone share their experience with setting up specific recruit profile type? Client is currently using Person Profile type but there is a lot recruit specific sections client wants to create for on the recruiting side and want to separate the configuration.

Is it a good idea to insert new record row the Person Profile Type or create a new recruit Person Profile type for recruit specific setups?

Are we still able to pass data from new recruit applicant profile data to person profile once applicant becomes hired to employee with this setup?

Any experience on this setup is greatly appreciated.
