VEVRAA form (voluntary self-identification for veterans) Question
The new form asks the employee to choose one of the following:
* I IDENTIFY AS ONE OR MORE OF THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF PROTECTED VETERAN LISTED BELOW*
I AM NOT A PROTECTED VETERAN
* I DO NOT WISH TO ANSWER
The problem is that there is no answer for people who are not a veteran at all! Non-veterans sometimes get confused and choose the I AM NOT A PROTECTED VETERAN option. This is wrong because that option means they are a veteran but not a protected veteran.
We realize this is a form from the Government, but does anyone else share this concern, and what have you done to address this?
